Turning Around

The Denver Broncos had a rough start to their franchise. They were founded around 1960 and this is when the Denver Broncos jerseys first started to be produced. The team had lost more games than they won during the 1960’s and were close to losing the franchise. Luckily, there was a local ownership group in the Denver area that took control of the Broncos and decided to keep it going and rebuild this organization. They wanted to see success for the Broncos. Things started to turnaround for the city of Denver in the 1970’s and this is when they recorded their first winning season. In 1977 the team was very successful and not only made their first playoff appearance, but they also made it all the way to the Super Bowl. Although they ended up losing this championship game, the Broncos have had lots of success over the years.

Becoming Champions

The Denver Broncos have made it to the playoffs 22 times over the years. Out of these many playoff appearances, they have won the division title fifteen times and were conference champions eight times. There are many years when the fans were quite excited. It is always fun to see your favorite team make a deep playoff run. Denver Broncos jerseys became very popular during these playoff seasons. Out of the 22 playoff appearances, the Broncos became Super Bowl champions in three of those years. These championships came in 1997, 1998, and 2015.

Back To Back

The Denver Broncos won back-to-back Super Bowl titles in 1997 and 1998. These were two special years for this Denver franchise. It is always exciting to win your first Super Bowl title, but being able to do it in back-to-back seasons is something not too many teams are able to do. The Broncos were a dominant squad during the late 1990’s. During the 1997 Super Bowl, the Denver Broncos faced off against the Green Bay Packers. This was a close game, but the Broncos ended up pulling away with the victory by a score of 31-24. I don’t think a franchise ever forgets their first Super Bowl title. What an exciting time for the players, coaches, and fans. The Broncos would end up winning the title the next season in 1998 and going back-to-back.

Super Bowl XXXIII

The Broncos second title came in Super Bowl XXXIII, just the year after their first. This Super Bowl was between the Broncos and the Atlanta Falcons. This Super Bowl was not as close of a score as the previous year. The city of Denver would defeat the Falcons by a score of 34-19. After winning these back-to-back titles in 1997 and 1998, the Broncos would not win another one until 2016. This Super Bowl championship in 2016 is their most recent title. The 2016 Super Bowl was a match up between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers. The Broncos won by a score of 24-10 in this game. They had just won their third NFL championship and the Denver Broncos jerseys would sell even more due to this great victory.

Over the many years that the Broncos have been a franchise, they have had some great players play for them. Some of these include guys like John Elway, Terrell Davis, Shannon Sharpe, Champ Bailey, and Peyton Manning. The most notable Bronco would have to be John Elway. Manning is mainly known as an Indianapolis Colt, but he did play a few years with the city of Denver. Davis was a running back for the team while Sharpe played tight end. Bailey was a defensive player and held things down at corner back. All of these players are some of the best to ever play the game of football and will be remembered for a long time. Their Denver Broncos jerseys will be around for a while. Check out the link above to pick up some of these legendary Denver Broncos jerseys.
